The Wallace Collection
December 8, 2011
The Wallace Collection is a national museum which displays the wonderful works of art collected in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess. It was bequeathed to the British nation by Sir Richard’s widow, Lady Wallace, in 1897.
If you have never been to the Wallace collection it’s well worth a visit. I went for the first time the other month and absolutely loved wandering around the different rooms looking at the thousands of objects that they have there on display. From 18thC pendants to indian jeweled swords, there really is something for everyone.
Even if the art isn’t your cup of tea, it’s worth going just to see the state rooms.
And the armour collection is amazing!
Free Admission including temporary exhibitions. Open 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm

Cora
Here she is, the beautiful ‘Cora’, our latest edition to the ever growing wedding dress collection. She is the perfect dress for the bride looking for something that isn’t strapless and is maybe getting hitched on the beach!
The delicate pleating over the bodice adds softness to the straight ‘v’ neck line.
These pleats are mirrored at the back of the dress to compliment the front. Brides have the choice between silk georgette or silk chiffon.
In true Ellie&Charlotte style the rest of the dress is pure simplicity, front and back.
Change the look completely by choosing a silk crepe fabric for the main skirt, this will make the dress a lot less shiny.
